A Healthy Packed Lunch

| Tuesday, February 21, 2012
Like I told you in my previous post, I usually cook a 5 course meal at home, that's because hubby doesn't like it if there is only rice and a basic viand on the table. He ever since taught me not be stingy when it comes to food. That means, there's a lot of cooking for me from Monday to Friday. In fact, the busiest time in the kitchen is from 11:30 AM to 12:30 in the afternoon. We eat lunch at 1 o'clock, so I allow the food to rest a bit before serving.

Today, I am posting about this packed lunch which I prepared for hubby. As you can see, I have a complete meal for my guy. First is the lentil soup, that's the thick and creamy orange thing up there. Then, I have Shanghai rolls as appetizer and vegetable salad with Greek dressing. The main course which is meatballs with bulgur is served with rice and plain yogurt. Lastly, there's banana for dessert and vitamin C for more energy.

By the way, I don't always prepare packed lunches. It only happens once or twice a month, depending on hubby's workload. One thing is for sure though.. hubby is getting a complete meal almost everyday.

Wow you're a super mom. By the way, I'm curious, why do you let food rest for 30 minutes?
