My Daughter and Her Love for Tutu Skirts

I guess, it's not Angelina Ballerina's fault that my 2 year old daughter chooses to wear a tutu or ballerina skirt more than anything.

She watches the said cartoon almost every afternoon and even imitates Angelina's moves, but started wearing tutu when she was barely 8 months.

Here is a photo of me and my daughter in her first tutu skirt. She was 7 months and 3 weeks in this photo.

Surprisingly, she was able to wear the same tutu skirt even a year after. This photo was taken on her 18th month birthday.

The first tutu retired, so I bought another one with ruffles and layers. She wore it on her 2nd birthday.

After the birthday, I remember her getting it from the drawer, then wearing on her own a lot of times. The second tutu became her most favorite.

She wore it to the mall, to the grocery, to the playground. Almost everywhere.


In fact, she even insist on wearing it to our recent trip to Hong Kong!


As a mom, I had to use my talent in sewing and made tutu and ballerina skirts for my daughter just to save money. In case she gets tired of them, I am planning to use the remaining fabric and materials from my previous projects to create more skirts with similar design.
