Grilled Squid

| Saturday, March 5, 2011
I love seafood. I think, I ate more fish and seafood in my life ever since. This is my first time to grill some squid. I usually order grilled squid from a food court anywhere like SM or Ayala Mall. However, I always get unsatisfied by its freshness, taste and texture. I saw fresh squid at a nearby grocery the other day, so I decided to buy almost a kilo for grilling at home. I only seasoned them with salt after cleaning, then off they went to my stovetop grill.

Look how yummy my squid looks! I served it with steamed rice and tomatoes on the side. I forgot to include the toyomansi dip in the picture, but it was the best condiment for this meal.

For those who are not familiar with toyomansi, it is a condiment made from combined juice from a local citrus fruit called "calamansi" and soy sauce. Just delicious!
