I want to buy myself a quality handbag for Christmas. A non-luxurious flap or chain bag with faux leather or patent leather material.

I've tried searching some design over the net, but sadly, most of them fall under one label only. You know-- that label that could easily dig a hole in my pocket and put me into debt until the next 5 years?

My Daughter's First Halloween

♥We attended my daughter's first Halloween party last Saturday afternoon, October 24. Around 11:30 that morning, I was still at the grocery buying some food for the whole week. Baba was not able to help me shopping. He was off to finish something in the office, so I rushed everything. I went home, cooked a quick lunch, took a shower, and put Aşkım into her hula princess costume.♥


♥At first, it was a bit of disaster because she refused to wear her flower garland and bracelets. She was tearing and pulling here and there until we went down to the 2nd floor where the party was and saw a bunch of kids wearing different costumes. We made it already over half an hour late at the party venue. After registration, we toured up and down the mezzanine floors right away. We visited the shops and schools from tower 1 to tower 2, trick or treating. We also went up to some units in tower 1 for more Halloween goodies. While at tower 1, I actually wondered why people in tower 2 did not open their doors for Halloween. Why?!♥



♥At the party, though Aşkım was a bit sleepy, she enjoyed watching the balloon twisting and the other kids playing games. She did not mind her pink cotton candy at all. She helped me with the sausage on stick and spaghetti, though. Before the announcement of the scariest and cutest kiddo in costume, Aşkım was already dreaming of cows and milk at home. She got really sleepy.♥

RE: "Ugly Name for a Girl's Blog"

Mahirap magpost sa chatbox, so i-blog ko na.

Someone under the name of "shhh" just dropped a message in my chatbox saying "ugly name for a girl's blog.." at may karugtong na "show some respect for women.." something like that. Tsk! Nai-delete ko na ang message nya, pero heto sana ang reply ko sa kanya.

@shhh: Thank you sa comment. Negative man yon, okay lang. E, sa hindi mo nagustuhan ang name ng blog ko, wala akong magagawa dyan, but that doesn't mean I don't have respect for women. Ang UTOTMOPINK ay expression po lamang. Wala akong intesyon na maging bastos sa iba. Don't worry sis, hindi ako galit sayo. I bet you are from GT so sis tawag ko sayo. Okay lang yon. Panget nga siguro sa tingin mo ang name ng blog ko pero okay lang. Hehe! Expression lang talaga yon ng friends ko from college. Hindi ko talaga ugali ang maging bastos, so paumanhin na lamang. Di ko na mapapalitan ang blog name ko.

At.. oo, di ko na talaga mapapalitan ang blog name ko kasi gusto ko sya. Gustong-gusto ko sya. Puro kasi magagandang alaala ang bumabalik saken kapag naririnig ko ang expression na 'utot mo pink'. Para saken, hindi sya bastos. Marami den sa GT ang nag-iisip na cute sya. Wala talagang bastos doon. Hindi ko talaga iniisip na i-disrespect ang kababaihan dahil lang sa blog name ko. Actually, natuwa pa nga'ko kasi napanood ko sa TV minsan na may clothing line ang pangalan ay Pink Fart. Anyway, salamat sa comment mo.


After an hour..
Add ko na den ang message na nai-forward saken ng sister-in-law ko ngayon lang. Sabi sa message: "life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Love the ones who don't just because you can. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly. God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it."

Ang ganda ng message noh? Yun lang.

After a day..
Tanggalin ko na daw ang chatbox, sabi ni hubby, so ayun wala na! Napagalitan ako. Hehe. Ngayon lang nya nalaman ang tungkol kay "shhh". Bakit daw kasi tigas ng ulo ko. Noon pa nya pinapatanggal ang chatbox dahil sa spammers. Dapat daw wala na chatbox kasi may comment box naman.

After 2 days..
I am now closing the comment system for this post. I have a lot of articles in my drafts that I need to finish and focus my attention on. Ayaw ko na magbasa ng comments or anything about this post.

Free Videos, Games, & Activities for Kids

I found ♥THIS♥ website while looking for Strawberry Shortcake images last night. After clicking here and there, I found out that they do have Care Bears, Sushi Pack, Holly Hobbie, and Strawberry Shortcake free games. They also have videos, cartoons, coloring pages, and online activities. Plus, they have this online store for mommies like me. And.. what to they have in their store? Um... just books, toys, dolls, and playsets that your kiddos will surely like.



♥HERE♥ is another place to spend your kid's boredom with. They feature arcade games, post office, art center, horoscopes, and polls. And of course, they do have all the Sanrio products that most girls like!


Like the first two, ♥THIS♥ last one has games, music, and other girly goodies that most young girls and even grown-ups love. But I think Barbie is not really advisable for babies. Not yet. So, my personal favorite among these three is the first up there. Why? 'Cause they do have Strawberry Shortcake which is babyish and girly. In fact, I feel the same with Hello Kitty. However, I don't really like pets and hairy things. Meowrrr!

Becoming Imeldific?

These are my daughter's shoe collection with her first baby booties at the center. Babies are growing up so fast, so I don't think it's wise to invest on the expensive ones. In fact, I already handed down some of my baby's shoes to a friend's.

I just took pictures of those from the cabinet. My little one still enjoys wearing five of these pairs. The newest in the group is the pink Dora sandals, beside the strawberry slippers, which I bought for only P150 (50% off). Its size is a little bigger so, she's not wearing them yet. The red pair in the lower part of the circle is posted in ♥The Pink Store♥. The rest are for keeping.. or giving to my little niece. Maybe.










Imeldific is coined after the name of the former first-lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos, who is known world-wide for having the most shoes in the world.

The Italian Parade

Have you seen the Fish Parade? If yes, here's another must-see parade. Yes ladies, the Italian Parade!

First in line, we have the Mushroom Bruschetta, minus the olive oil. Mushrooms sautéed in butter with bell pepper, and dried basil. Seasoned with garlic powder and salt. Served on top of sliced Italian bread.



And here is my hubby's another favorite-- the Mac n' Chiz. This is just macaroni bathing in a creamy milk and three-cheese sauce. Served with garlic toast.



This is the yummiest food I served during my daughter's birthday--Baked Mac! See the melted cheese on top? Ahhh.. sarap!!



Last but not the least, we have here Penne with Mushroom & Herbs. Hubby likes it with lots of cheese, so I had to sprinkle them with love.

DIY Baby Halloween Costume

Halloween is coming!!! Still thinking of what to buy for your kiddo to wear during trick or treating? I think I can help you (wink*).

You know us, first time mommies. First time events in our baby's life excite us a lot. Yeah, things like "first Christmas", "first Halloween", etc.

A month ago, I started searching for a cute Halloween costume for my little one. I wanted something like a bunny or fairy, but most department stores seem to sell costumes for toddlers and bigger kids only. Yeah, nothing fits my baby! Plus, they all have limited items to choose from. So, I decided to practically DIY my baby's costume. From my list below, I picked the last one.

♥My DIY Baby Halloween Costume Ideas♥
1. Cheerleader- stripe pleated skirt and pom-poms
2. Rockstar Baby- the trick is behind rockstar accessories
3. Pink Ballerina- pink tights and ballerina skirt (whatever they call that!)
4. Purple Fairy- fairy dress, wings, and wand
5. Hula Girl- a grass skirt and flower accessories (the easiest for me)

so, here you go..



..and here's how!


If I were to count the total of hours I spent on this project, I think I can say less than 24 hours. I started by weaving the grass skirt, splitting the ends, and trimming them down into one length. This was the easiest part of the job. Actually, as easy as making the flower garland and bracelets. After the skirt and the flower thingy, I had to do the beading, followed by cutting the fabric for the top, sewing it, and attaching the garter to finish the whole outfit.

2. Red crepe paper - P 9
3. Beads - free, recycled from my old thong sandals
4. Yellow, blue, and red threads - free, from my sewing box
5. Red ribbon - free, recycled from a famous bakery with the same name :)
6. Yellow flowery fabric - P 18.75 for the small portion I used

Now, can you believe how much I saved from this newest DIY project? I suggest go to the nearest department store in your place and check how much for those hula costumes. Also, do not forget to check the quality of what they sell. What I mean is, if you don't what to spend that money with a cheap-looking-poorly-made costume, then why not go artsy craftsy?

My Daughter's First Birthday!

This is how we celebrated my daughter's 1st birthday during the typhoon Ondoy last September 25 and September 27.


At home, Sept 25: We blew her a candle during lunch with white adobo, baked mac, shanghai rolls, and jello.



Pizza Hut-Megamall, Sept 27: The Barbie Fairytopia Cake did not arrive due to floods, over half the number of guests did not come, and most visitors were late.



Rain or shine, the party must go on!



The party will begin in 5 minutes.



We started with a Happy Birthday song.



Time to make a wish.



We had so much fun during the party. Thanks to the Pizza Hut Crew and the participation of guests.



At home, after the party: She didn't get a lot, but everything that she received are memorable..



My favorite is the Hello Kitty accessories and the Guess denim dress & underwear; while Baba likes the Barbie bathrobe and the Vteck toy.
