Studded Slippers by Marc Ecko

>> Tuesday, December 29, 2009

I don't have a single pair of Havaianas or Ipanema slippers. It's not because I can't afford to buy one. It's just that too many people already sport those brands.

Anyway, my old pair of rubber slippers already retired. I told you guys I cannot wear studded shoes, so I'm very happy to have found these pair of studded slippers from Red by Marc Ecko 2 weeks ago. I bought it for P1,195 which is more or less $25. It's original price was P1,995, though.

These slippers matches all sorts of color 'cos it is black. Made from leather. With rubber sole. Heel height is only 3 inches. Comfortable. Stylish. Uh, so happy with my cheap buy!

Know what? I have three pairs of Havaianas and I like wearing them. Everybody can wear Havaianas whatever his/her status in life---helpers are human too! Sorry sis Medyo na hurt lang ako because my sister is a domestic helper in Hongkong and she has 5 pairs of Havaianas. Pwede naman siguro ganito na lang(It's just that too many people already sport those brands)...without mentioning neighbor's helper. Anyway, this is just my reaction sis!

Hi sis! I like Mark Ecko shoes too, their designs are cute but the price sometimes go way overboard.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a grammarian ha, it's ecko and not echo. Please don't take it badly :)

@Analuz: Keep your cool :D I already edited my post, but hey, I don't mean to say that helpers don't have a right to be wearing Havaianas, Ipanema, etc. I mean to say that almost everybody can have them including maids or whoever who can afford to buy them. I also worked like a DH in HK (If you can look through my archive, you will find a post about my experience). I even have relatives and friends working as nanny and or DH in HK & Canada. So, no offense dear.

Actually, I consider that helper I'm talking about as a friend and I admire her 'cos she is stylish and hip. Yeah, she knows how to take care of herself.

@Liz: Thanks sweetie. I'll add you soon..^^

@User: Haha. Post edited. You know, that is the trouble of blogging under time pressure. Thanks a lot for the comment dear. That helped :)
