The Real "RICE CAKE" Recipe

You know I really love rice cakes. Like a month ago, while experimenting on a simple bibingka recipe, I was able to come up with this one which is surprisingly tasting like a birthday cake. Just looking at the caramelized top is heaven. Try it!

Ingredients:
2 cups of ordinary rice flour
1/4 cup glutinous rice flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tbsp baking powder

Procedure:
Beat the eggs until foamy. Add sugar and butter. Beat again until fluffy. Mix flour, baking powder, and milk. Add to te egg mixture. Brush a round baking dish with butter. Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake at 180° for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center. Remove from the oven. Let cool. Slice and serve.

Ang sarap mo siguro magluto sis karamihan ng pinopost mong food di lang masarap nutritious pa. at ang procedure mo simple lang kaya madaling sundan. pag sinipag ako itatry ko din itong rice cake na ito. :)

thanks yami & shyK.. cooking is one of my favorite things to do..

actually, everytime i serve something for my hubby, he would comment like, "i really need to open a restaurant for you"..

funny, but he would also ask how much should he pay with the food he ate :D

Miss ko yung rice cake sa probinsya. Will try this too, at dahil wala akong oven, pwede kaya ito sa frying pan as in parang pan cake lang?

@amor: i suggest you split the dough into four or six, form into balls and flatten each of them in rounded banana leaves then cook the province way.. ^^
