My babe and I went to Makati Medical Center for our baby's congenital ultrasound.
We reached the hospital around 12:30, but unfortunately, their printer was broken and the doctor whose suppose to do my ultrasound wasn't available.
I got a new schedule and then we went off to Landmark to do some shopping. We went round and round, up and down yet I did not find anything wearable. Again, if not too big or too small, the maternity clothes I saw were out of style or too expensive.
We dropped by EQ store in Glorietta after that to get my babe a set of new eyeglasses. We payed over 5,000 Php for an Abercrombie and Fitch frame and lenses. While waiting for it to be done in an hour, we spotted some dresses on sale in Tomato. We bought one yellow green cotton jersey sun dress for me, picked up the new eyeglasses, and had early dinner at Kenny Roger's.
Before leaving Glorietta, we bought a new pair or maternity jeans from Having A Baby half the price. They even gave me a free Dryper's newborn diaper and GynePro feminine wash.
We ended buying grocery in Walter Mart and getting some shawarma for snacks before heading home that day.

Some visitors came to house. It was Mustafa, his wife, her daughter and nephew.
I cooked dolma for and chicken with corn soup. I also prepared beef franks sandwich and melon smoothie for snacks.
We talked about pregnancy, giving birth, and birthing cost. We found out that Rabia, Mustafa's wife is giving birth in St. Lukes. Her doctor said, she has to prepare around 45,000 Php for the delivery. That was a package I guess.

I was suppose to go to work at 4:30 AM, but I woke up with a leg cramp. It was too painful to bear in walking, so I texted my team leader. I told her that I won't be working that day.
My leg got painful until lunch time. I thought I won't be able to make it to the hospital for my baby's congenital ultrasound. That day, my babe's was out for work. I had to ask an old friend to come with me to Makati Med.
Now here is the most exciting part of my baby's ultrasound.
My schedule was 3 PM, but I was 30 minutes late already. Haha.
Full of excitement, I rushed to the delivery room, showed my recommendation note, payed 3,200 Php (for the congenital ultrasound), and anxiously waited for my turn.
In a matter of less than 20 minutes, I was able to see the doctor and the assistant for my ultrasound. The assistant asked basic questions and then the doctor started with her wonder gel and magic wand to work.
At first, she got me scared because she was counting my baby's toes and fingers. I was afraid to hear that she would count 11 fingers or toes instead of a normal 10.
I was feeling so paranoid that I couldn't understand anything much of the statistics that she was dictating her assistant.
I asked excitedly if my baby's a boy or girl. She smiled and said, "Suspense. I already have an idea, but I want to make it sure. I will tell you later".
My heart was thumping already in excitement. I didn't know if I was about to cry or shout. Again, I was emotional yet too shy to show my feelings.
At long last, she grabbed the monitor and faced it my direction then switched through pelvic and 4D ultrasound mode to show me my baby. I was able to see my baby's arms and legs, head and face, and then.. YES, her vajayjay! WE HAVE A BABY GIRL!
She was actually a little shy while the doctor was doing the ultrasound. She was stretching, folding, and unfolding her arms and legs to cover her face and her vajayjay.. ^^ The doctor mentioned that she is doing some exercises already and her folding position is nothing, but normal.
After the ultrasound, I was so so happy that I couldn't stop smiling even until today. My Askim's 4D picture showed her very pretty face like mommy's and nose like daddy's.
At Dra. Mae Syki-Young's clinic (my OB), I excitedly gave a call to bebegim and told him of our baby's gender. I could still remember how happy my voice was while telling him about our Askim. Our prayers were granted. We wanted a baby girl and now we will really have it in our arms in a matter of three months.
My OB explained the test to me. She said, Askim's weight, size, and body organs are normal. She is not too small nor too big for her age in my tummy.
She also quoted my birthing cost. She told me to prepare around 50,000 Php for a painless (epidural anesthesia) delivery. That's the package she offers and we will be talking about the details on my next visit.
I started informing my aunts, brother, and other family members about the baby's gender. All of them are feeling happy about the result of my baby's ultrasound

I went to work with my baby's 4D pictures with me and I excitedly announced Askim's gender. Everyone at work (mostly my friends) seemed happy as well. Some of them thought I am having a baby girl, some them guessed I am having a boy, but my feeling was right. My intuition was correct. It even appeared in my dreams.
Askim is a girly girly little baby inside me.
She is going to be the first grandchild in my bebegim's side and the first great-grandchild in my family's side. I am very much grateful that our wish to have a baby girl is granted. I can already imagine how cute she can be and how spoiled she would be from her daddy and the rest of the family.. ^^
