When I think of June, I think of birthdays. That's because I was born in June and so is my babe and my beloved aunt.
When I think of June, I also think or the rainy days and the back to school season.
When I think of June, I think of weddings, too! People usually get married in June and I wonder why. Is it because of the weather?
In June, there are usually rainshowers in the Philippines and that's good luck they say. During a June wedding, if the sky starts to pour down, that's something like a blessing from the heaven.
June also stands for an ancient Roman goddess named Juno and she is considered as the patroness of marriage. People think of June to be the most favorable month to marry because of that.
Are there any reasons? Hmmm..^^
As for me, I would love to get married in June for 2 reasons.
One, I was born in June. Two, it's the marrying season and would love to become a June bride.
Before learning about my pregnancy, we've been talking about marriage already. I told my babe that we should marry this year or else I will never marry him anymore.. haha. I think it was stupid of me to tell him that I should be married at a certain time or age. I was like giving him a due date or expiration date. Now that we are 5 months on the way, we are first thinking of arranging marriage papers with the Turkish Embassy in the Philippines to avoid problems in the future esp. with the child's citizenship.
After giving birth, we will start to think of the Philippine wedding ceremony. Of course, we will probably get a non-denominational or civil wedding since he's a Muslim and I'm Christian. Well, lucky me since I don't have to be converted to his religion. He is a Muslim follower, but not strict Muslim. He seldom goes to the mosque nor performs rituals. They call themselves Alevi Muslim.
Hey babe, I know you are reading this. In four months, we will have Askim and you know I'll say "I DO" in a bit after.
