Google Adsense Just Paid Me Through Western Union!

| Friday, June 6, 2008
I just got my first money in four figures from Google Adsense! They sent me the payment through Western Union the last week of May. I started blogging in January and it has been 5 months, but that's fine with me. I am just one out of millions and millions of bloggers in this whole wide world.

I love writing ever since. I usually can't sleep at night because of things running in my mind. They won't stop unless I get a pen and a paper and start scribbling words. I write when I'm sad or feeling alone. I write when I'm happy or excited. I write a lot when I'm in love and inspired. In fact, I got the highest grade in my Creative Writing class in college. No kidding! I'm pretty bad at Algebra and that's the reason why I got 5 in that subject, but I did very good in Creative Writing. Ha!

My babe encouraged me to apply for Google Adsense. I never thought I could earn something out of blogging, though. I mean, I know people like Steve Pavlina (I'm a big fan), but seriously, I didn't realize that I can send a box of 2 months grocery for three families, buy school supplies for my cousin Amy, and buy a decent maternity jeans for myself out of it until I got the money in my pocket.

Blogging for me is not all about money. Never. I feel good when I'm writing and seeing people visit my site from all over the world, hearing comments from them, and learning that they appreciate what I do. I would love to receive more comments, but unfortunately, I don't have enough time to go over them everyday of the week. I have a baby coming, so I spend less time using the computer nowadays.

During the first trimester of my pregnancy, a certain reader sent me a message asking why I didn't write for days. I was feeling shy and flattered because she followed my writings for a while and even told me that she sleeps late at night reading my blog. Hmmm.. happiness.

Anyway, I am writing and will write some more. I want to make a nice website. I'm just a little lucky because by babe knows programming well. He's too busy to upgrade my site these days, but we are hoping for a more personalized website, more stuff to read, and the like.
